Developing Meaning in Life
Our Approach to Depression
We help clients view their experience with depression or sadness as opportunities to explore what is truly meaningful to them. These feelings often surface when we experience loss or become disconnected from important people, events, or experiences in our lives. Our approach focuses on helping clients gradually reconnect with what matters most, using physical activity as a key tool to foster a sense of aliveness and presence in their bodies. By encouraging movement and engagement with people and the world around them, clients can rediscover meaningful experiences that bring them joy and purpose.
Rather than striving for radical change to escape discomfort, we see depression as an invitation to work slowly and compassionately with ourselves, deepening our understanding of what we truly value and how to cultivate a life that reflects those values. We live in a society that wants to move fast and often can overwhelm and overstimulate us. Depression, sadness, tiredness might be that message from our bodies that we need to slow down and focus on reconnecting with our experience.
