Our Approach to Trauma
When working with clients who have navigated traumatic experiences, our approach begins with helping them develop internal skills to manage and navigate difficult emotional states. This foundational work ensures that clients feel more equipped and resilient when confronting their trauma. Once these skills are in place, we introduce methods to process and resolve the trauma stored in the body, creating a pathway toward healing.
We are able to use EMDR and art therapy as powerful tools in this process, as they allow the body and mind to feel safe while connecting with and resolving traumatic memories. EMDR can facilitate the reprocessing of traumatic events, while art therapy provides a creative and non-verbal outlet for expression, helping clients move through their trauma in a way that feels both secure and empowering. Through this holistic approach, we support clients in not just surviving but truly healing from their past experiences.
